A hotel like a palace
What a beautiful hotel steeped in history and grandeur. Our suite was spacious. Love that it was full of books. Lovely common room looking out over the grand canal. Great location, we were four small bridges away from St Marks Square. A gondola stop and several restaurants on the doorstep. A 10 minute walk from Santa Maria del Giglio port where the Water bus dropped and picked us up from the airport. My son was remarking how comfortable he found a blue armchair in the common room. I'm not sure if someone heard him but when we returned to the suite later that day, the armchair had appeared in our room! Grazi to whoever did that. My son was delighted. Very friendly and helpful staff. Hope to be back to this beautiful city one day.
There is no elevator but the staff helped very kindly with our luggage.
